Opportunities are available within our Food Service Team. Gain valuable training and hands-on experience in our commercial kitchen, planning, preparing and serving meals to conference center guests.
ABOUT THE JOB
Spring Canyon is a Christian retreat and conference center in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado that includes a full-service commercial kitchen capable of serving three meals a day for up to 200 guests per meal. Serving in our kitchen will provide the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience and food service management experience in the following areas: proper food storage and preparation, managing and maintaining necessary stockage levels, and safe food service methods. We follow ServeSafe standards and methods in our kitchen and dining room, and we can offer opportunities to become ServeSafe Food Service Manager certified while serving in our kitchen. We can also offer opportunities for certification and college credits in food preparation and service through the Rouxbe online culinary training program.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Planning, preparing and serving meals to conference center guests
- Managing and maintaining necessary stockage levels
- Ensuring proper food storage and preparation
- Following ServeSafe standards and methods in kitchen and dining room
QUALIFICATIONS
- Desire to serve in a Christian retreat and conference center setting
- Interest in gaining food service management experience
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY
We are looking for retiring or separating military members who would like a unique experience to serve in a Christian retreat and conference center setting. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable food service experience while serving in a beautiful setting with a great mission and team.
