The Cybersecurity Specialist SkillBridge program prepares transitioning service members for entry-level cybersecurity and information security support roles. Participants receive instruction in cybersecurity fundamentals, network security, risk management, system protection, incident response, and security best practices aligned with industry and government standards. This program emphasizes hands-on technical skills, security awareness, and professional readiness to support secure information systems across public and private sector organizations.
As an entry-level Cybersecurity Specialist, graduates may support information technology and security teams by assisting with monitoring systems for security threats, implementing basic security controls, supporting incident response activities, maintaining security documentation, and promoting cybersecurity best practices. Typical duties include reviewing logs, assisting with vulnerability mitigation, supporting compliance efforts, and helping protect organizational data and systems. Graduates are prepared for roles such as cybersecurity technician, information security analyst (junior), security operations center (SOC) analyst (entry-level), or IT security support specialist.
