The QA/QC Skillbridge Intern is responsible for the implementation, oversight, and management of all aspects of Quality Control program, for the management and coordination of all documentation performed by testing personnel and any other inspection personnel required by contract. This role is intended for approved active duty military Skillbridge internship candidates. This role includes direct oversight and review of the entire documentation and physical inspection phase of the workflow process and working with other in-house personnel to include Project Managers, Superintendents, etc., and external personnel to produce and document a quality product.

ABOUT THE JOB
• Coordinate, document, and track preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections.• Chair and document weekly QC meetings with the Superintendent and provide written reports as described. Provide daily QC reports that reinforce activities that are being constructed in conformance with each specific project's established standard. Create, update, and maintain other quality control reports as required.• Verify and document that all materials received for the project are in conformance with the approved submittal, are handled and stored appropriately and are acceptable for use in the project.• Conduct pre-construction meetings with new and existing subcontractors and the Superintendent at least two days prior to the start of each new phase of the work to discuss issues that affect quality.• Track construction deficiencies and ensure timely implementation of, and verify, all approved corrective actions.• Coordinate and document the testing and commissioning of building systems, review results, and submit.• Maintain the project "as-built" drawings daily.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent military experience.
- Minimum of 0-3 years' experience.
- Knowledge of a wide range of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
- Very strong work ethic with willingness to travel and/or relocate.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with all construction groups, management, owners, trades, and subcontractors.
- Solid understanding of the company's Safety First philosophy and practice.
- Above-average working knowledge of technology and related resources.
- Ability to walk unlevel terrain and job sites several times a day, scale scaffolding and temporary stairs.
- Must be able to work in an area with loud noises on a regular basis.
- Ability to speak clearly and exercise good judgment.
- Motivated, hardworking, team player.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY
