Intelligence Research Specialist (IRS)

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAs an IRS, the incumbent in this position is responsible for applying a full range of analytical knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide finished intelligence and intelligence products in support of operations. The All-Source IRS must execute intelligence processes across all phases of the CBP intelligence cycle: planning and direction, collection, processing and exploitation, analysis and production, and dissemination. CBP All-Source IRS integrate data and information from all relevant sources to analyze situations or conditions that affect CBP operations. They assess and validate intelligence on measures of relevance, timeliness, and objectivity, and prepare professional intelligence reports for briefing and dissemination across the organization. Planning, Direction, and CollectionResearches, evaluates, integrates, and analyzes all-source data in the preparation of clear, concise, in-depth intelligence analytical products focusing on the threats and all relevant information related to CBP operations. Processing and ExploitationCompiles, collates, extrapolates, and exploits information from CBP databases, classified and unclassified, open-source reporting, IC and LE systems and databases, in support of CBP border security operations. Analysis, Production and DisseminationIncumbent is responsible for researching, reviewing, and evaluating a high volume of classified and sensitive intelligence information. RESPONSIBILITIES✨
