Boutique law office seeking a business and entertainment law paralegal to support our growing needs.
A paralegal in our office will primarily work in the firm's three main practice areas: (1) business/corporate law; (2) intellectual property law; and (3) entertainment law. As part of that, the paralegal will be tasked with supporting the firm's litigation and transactional practices on a day-to-day basis.Essential Job Functions:• Assist attorneys in analyzing/reviewing discovery production, case filings, and other legal documents related to cases.• Drafting and responding to pleadings, discovery, motions for summary judgment, and other dispositive motions.• Prepare materials for and assist in preparation for depositions, hearings, trials, and related proceedings.• Coordinate filing of pleadings/documents and arrange for service.• Assist attorneys in analyzing/reviewing contract documents, schedules, addenda, and other legal documents related to corporate transactions.• Drafting contract documents and collaborating on deal terms.• Act as a liaison between clients, colleagues, and experts to ensure timely communication of case information and production of materials.• Maintain professional demeanor and attitude.• Comply with firm policies.• Sustain attention to detail and quality of work.• Learn/develop technical proficiency in database use and management; internet/electronic research; and project folder/electronic file maintenance.• Anticipate attorney needs.
