Realty Specialist
When assigned by the supervisor or program manager, serves as project manager or action officer for specific projects, including but not limited to origination of and replies to correspondence, document preparation, processing finalization, together with required coordination with other branches of the Division or other District elements. Maintains up-to-date record of actions taken or pending in project folder and electronic databases.
ABOUT THE JOB
You will acquire property or space, or provide guidance to other agencies, or state and local governments on such matters as the acquisition of property or space; and relocation of property and business owners.Exercise eminent domain procedures; difficult negotiations; and/or unfamiliar state or local governments.Manage Federally controlled property. Lease space to non-Federal entities and manage such leases.Authorize the use of Federal land to individuals or organizations for commercial, recreational or various other purposes after ascertaining that the proposed use is compatible with, or furthers, the Corps’ civil works mission. Work with project and installations managers to determine the best method by which to achieve the maximum value for non-Federal use of Corps’ managed properties.Manage natural resources located on civil works projects and military installations, including forestry, sand and gravel, and agricultural land. Develop plans to extract natural resources via appropriate out-grant, when compatible with project purpose or military mission. Dispose of Federally owned property that may involve numerous environmental concerns limited or unstable markets, etc
