Oversees construction projects from planning through completion by coordinating field operations, managing project documentation, supporting scheduling and budgeting, ensuring safety and quality compliance, and facilitating communication among owners, contractors, architects, and subcontractors. This role includes responsibilities such as processing RFIs and submittals, supporting project engineers and superintendents, tracking schedules and materials, and assisting with budget and risk management activities.
Quality Control● QC Manager is required to attend various meetings (i.e. partnering, QC meeting, coordination and mutualunderstanding meeting, etc);● Manage, organize and conduct the QC meeting.● Perform the three phases of control except for those phases of control designated to be performed by QCSpecialists.● Perform submittal review and approval.● Ensure testing is performed and provide QC certifications and documentation required per contract.● Review and familiarize oneself with contract documents.● The QC Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the three phases of control and documentationperformed by the QC Specialists, testing laboratory personnel and any other inspection and testing personnelrequired by contract.● Review plans, specifications, and subcontractor questions for missing or lacking information and submitRequest For Information (RFI) to Designer of Record (DOR) or contracting officer representative (COR);● Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports (i.e. daily progress, quality control, preparatory checklist, initialchecklist, follow up checklist, etc.).● Coordinate with subcontractors, clients and vendors to schedule execution of work.● Plan construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.● Input critical project information into project tracker.Safety● Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.● Assist in compliance with safety program and safety indoctrinations.● Ensure Global Harmonization Standards (GHS) and all safety/regulatory posters are posted and up to date.Project Manager● Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.● Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.● Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention tobudgetary limitations.● Assist Superintendent/Foreman in material take off and ordering.● Estimate smaller projects and change orders for approval by operations manager and/or president.● Acquire equipment and material and monitor inventory to timely handle● Track change orders for time, costs, and justification.● Investigate damage, accidents, or delays to ensure proper procedures are executed.● Submit invoices and receipts to office with proper job coding.● Other duties as assigned.
