Veterans will benefit from small class sizes, personalized instruction, and real-world driving practice in both automatic and manual (10-speed) transmissions.Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Certificate program is a hands-on, competency-based training designed for those wanting to start a career as a truck driver. Holding a Class A license allows you to operate most tractor-trailers weighing over 26,001 pounds or towing over 10,000 pounds. It is the most common CDL option, particularly for over-the-road truck drivers.
This CDL training program prepares Veterans for a career in commercial truck driving by combining federally required ELDT Theory with practical, hands-on training. Student will be expected to complete assigned reading each night, vehicle Inspection, Basic Vehicle Control Skills, and On-road Driving.
