ABOUT THE JOB

UH-60A Second-in-Command (SIC) helicopter pilot duties during the USFS contract fire season. Overall learning objectives for the program is to introduce military pilots to the commercial utility helicopter industry. This includes the multiple uses and missions of the helicopter to include aerial firefighting, long line operations, seeding, agriculture, wildlife surveys, snow survey, powerline surveys, and many others. A two-week Initial company INDOC and orientation training will be conducted in Twin Falls, Idaho at the Company flight facility. The remainder of the training program will be conducted on the active fire contract by designated training captains.
