A RAS Maritime Technician supports the setup, integration, testing, and operation of unmanned maritime systems such as Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs) and Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs). The role involves assisting with vehicle configuration, sensors and communications systems, autonomy components, mission preparation, and system monitoring during testing or field operations. RAS technicians help maintain and troubleshoot robotic platforms while supporting engineers and operators in the safe deployment and evaluation of autonomous maritime technologies.
