RAS Technician - Maritime

This SkillBridge opportunity provides transitioning service members with hands-on training in Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) with a focus on Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs) and Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs) used in maritime operations.Participants will gain practical experience supporting the integration, testing, and operation of autonomous maritime systems used in defense, offshore operations, research, and commercial maritime industries. Training combines technical instruction, supervised lab work, simulation exercises, and controlled field operations.This program is designed to translate military operational and technical experience into skills applicable to the rapidly growing autonomous systems and maritime robotics industry.

ABOUT THE JOB

A RAS Maritime Technician supports the setup, integration, testing, and operation of unmanned maritime systems such as Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs) and Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs). The role involves assisting with vehicle configuration, sensors and communications systems, autonomy components, mission preparation, and system monitoring during testing or field operations. RAS technicians help maintain and troubleshoot robotic platforms while supporting engineers and operators in the safe deployment and evaluation of autonomous maritime technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES✨
