Possumwood Acres Wildlife Sanctuary
Possumwood Acres offers a Wildlife Rehabilitation Internship. This internship is meant as a hands-on introduction to the field of wildlife rehabilitation, and for many applicants is their first experience with wildlife rehab.
ABOUT THE JOB
The unpaid Wildlife Intern will leave this program with a basic understanding of introductory wildlife rehabilitation skills that they can take to their future careers. An intern must complete approx. 240 hours by the end of their internship and will receive a letter of completion.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Complete approximately 240 hours by the end of the internship
- Must have an up-to-date tetanus vaccine
- Must wear nonslip shoes
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY
Advancement through continued training and hands-on experience, supervisory capacity, and formal training leading to state and federal rehabilitation and education permits for Directorship and Coordinator positions.

Requires up-to-date tetanus vaccine and nonslip, toes-closed shoes.Should not have allergies to tree or ground nuts. If so, Epi-Pen mandatory at all times.
