As a Pest Control Technician Apprentice, you will have the unique opportunity to shadow experienced pest control technicians, learn about the career, perform general pest control tasks, and work towards obtaining your pest control license. This program is specifically designed for transitioning Service Members, providing a pathway to a rewarding career in pest control.What You Will Do: Establish effective working relationships with a variety of customers in the hospitality industry and other commercial businesses.Partner with customers on best practices to identify and solve pest elimination needs.Maintain expertise in Ecolab’s product and service offerings, as well as industry conditions, to enhance service and sales of pest prevention and elimination solutions.Use handheld computerized equipment to manage service and document structural, sanitation, and pest issues.What We Offer:Comprehensive 12-week training program designed to provide the tools and resources for you to excel in the field – no prior pest control experience required!Hands-on experience and mentorship from experienced pest control technicians.Support in working towards obtaining licensing and establishing your skillset in a growing and secure profession.Position Details:This position is offered in the following locations: Saint Paul, MNSavannah, GAMaui, HITampa, FLAustin, TXChicago, ILSan Antonio, TXNew York, NYIndianapolis, INOther locations may be available in addition to these During your training program, you will be required to travel to Ecolab Corporate Headquarters in Eagan, Minnesota for 1 of the 5 weeks. Travel is anticipated to take place on week 10 of the 12 week training program. Ecolab will arrange and pay for your travel and certain travel related expenses.You are responsible to have the proper documentation to fly such as a Real ID or other acceptable form of identification. In accordance with details of the Department of Defense SkillBridge program, this Apprenticeship is an unpaid position. After successful completion of the program Ecolab will make a good-faith effort to extend an offer of full-time employment. The starting hourly pay for a full-time Ecolab associate in this position is $19-25. QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or GED
- Two years of work or military experience
- Be a participant of the DOD Skill Bridge Program
- Current and valid Driver's License
- Ability to work overnight shifts as needed
- Willingness to be on call during off work hours and weekends as necessary
- Ability to obtain required pest certification and/or business licensing pursuant to state/local law
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ecolab conducts a background check and drug screens on all candidates who receive a job offer
