The Systems Engineer SkillBridge Intern will support government and program office customers in systems integration, requirements management, and technical analysis efforts. This role offers exposure to the full systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements development, architecture support, verification planning, and stakeholder coordination.This internship is designed to translate military technical experience into civilian systems engineering expertise within a fast-paced consulting environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport systems engineering activities across the lifecycle (requirements, design, integration, test, sustainment)Assist in developing and analyzing:System requirements and specificationsInterface Control Documents (ICDs)Test and Evaluation (T&E) documentationTechnical briefings and decision packagesParticipate in Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetingsConduct technical research and analysis to support engineering decisionsAssist with configuration management and documentation controlSupport risk identification and mitigation planningContribute to process improvement initiatives
Required:Active-duty Service Member eligible for DoD SkillBridgeBackground in engineering, IT, communications, cyber, aviation, C4ISR, or related technical fieldStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate technical information clearly (written and verbal)Experience working in structured, mission-focused environmentsPreferred:Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related fieldFamiliarity with:Systems Engineering principles (INCOSE, DoD 5000 framework)Modeling tools (e.g., Cameo, Visio)Cybersecurity or network architecturesActive Secret clearance
