The Network Technician SkillBridge program prepares transitioning service members for entry-level information technology and networking support roles. Participants receive instruction in networking fundamentals, network installation and configuration, troubleshooting, cybersecurity basics, and systems support aligned with industry standards. This program emphasizes hands-on technical skills, structured problem-solving, and professional readiness to support civilian IT environments in both public and private sector organizations.
As an entry-level Network Technician, graduates may support IT and networking teams by assisting with the installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of computer networks and related systems. Typical duties include setting up network hardware, troubleshooting connectivity issues, supporting users, maintaining documentation, and assisting with basic network security tasks. Graduates are prepared for roles such as network technician, IT support technician, help desk technician, or junior network support specialist.
