Warren CAT is an authorized SkillBridge partner offering an 8-week, full-time Electric Power Generation (EPG) Technician training program. Participants receive structured, supervised, hands-on training servicing Caterpillar generator sets and power systems in a professional shop environment. This program prepares transitioning Service Members for entry-level technician careers supporting industrial and critical infrastructure power systems.
The Electric Power Generation Technician Trainee performs supervised preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and component service on Caterpillar generator sets. Training includes exposure to mechanical and electrical systems, safety procedures, technical documentation, and shop practices. Participants train approximately 40 hours per week alongside experienced EPG technicians. Training emphasizes safety, professionalism, technical skill development, and workplace readiness. Successful completion may lead to consideration for full-time employment following military separation, based on performance and business needs.
Must be within 180 days of separation. Must receive command approval. Mechanical or electrical aptitude preferred. Ability to work in an industrial environment
