Position OverviewThe Configuration Analyst SkillBridge Intern will support government program offices and technical teams by assisting with configuration management planning, documentation control, change tracking, and baseline integrity.This internship provides practical exposure to configuration management practices within systems engineering and acquisition environments.
Key Responsibilities:Assist in maintaining configuration baselines for systems, documentation, and hardware/software componentsSupport development and updates of Configuration Management Plans (CMPs)Track Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Change Requests (CRs)Coordinate and document Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetingsMaintain configuration status accounting recordsEnsure document version control and proper repository managementSupport audits and compliance reviewsHelp identify process improvement opportunities within CM workflows
Required:Active-duty Service Member eligible for DoD SkillBridgeStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExperience working with technical documentation or controlled processesAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred:Background in logistics, maintenance, IT, communications, engineering, aviation, cyber, or acquisitionFamiliarity with:Configuration Management principles (ANSI/EIA-649 or DoD CM practices)Technical data packagesSharePoint or document control systemsRequirements or lifecycle management toolsExperience supporting audits, inspections, or compliance programsActive Secret clearance
