Logistics Management Specialist
The overall program will consist of 18 credit hours of college credit from Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC). Classes will be conducted Monday through Thursday from M-R: Telepresence/Hybrid, in-person 8-2, in-person 2:30-4:00PM at the VECTR Center and Friday: Online 8-4. The overall length of the training is 15 weeks and there will be 2 programs conducted per year. The approximate start dates will be August and January. • COMP 1000 – Introduction to Computer Literacy – 3 credit hours• LOGI 1000 – Business Logistics – 3 credit hours• LOGI 1010 – Purchasing – 3 credit hours• LOGI 1020 – Materials Management – 3 credit hours• SCMA 1000 – Introduction to Supply Chain Management- 3 credit hours• MGMT 1100 – Principles of Management – 3 credit hours o Or MGMT 2200– Production/Operations Management – 3 credit hours
ABOUT THE JOB
Logistics Management Specialists play a pivotal role in optimizing supply chain operations to ensure efficient and cost-effective movement of goods. Responsibilities include coordinating transportation, managing inventory, analyzing data for process improvement, and fostering collaboration across teams. Initial employment from this program will be in entry-level logistics positions, such as dispatcher, warehouse clerk, or logistics technician. Once the graduate gains experience, expected positions could include logistics analyst.

Single room, shared bath with same gender; therefore, military members cannot be accompanied.Cost of program is paid for using Federal and State Grants such as Georgia Hope Grant, Georgia Career Grant, Pell Grant, and Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Grant. Georgia VECTR Center’s programs are designed for service members without transferable skills in the civilian sector. Students with a bachelor’s degree or higher may not qualify for certain financial aid.
