Starfish Space

SkillBridge
Seattle, WA
151 - 180 days
No Cost
Posted 71 days ago

Starfish Space is a startup founded by former Blue Origin and NASA engineers that is developing hardware and software to enable autonomous spacecraft interaction and in-orbit logistics. Specifically, the company is building the Otter spacecraft which will perform affordable satellite servicing for government and commercial customers, with missions such as lifeextension in Geostationary orbit as well as end-of-life disposal in Low Earth Orbit. Our SkillBridge internships are flexible in terms of length and start date. The company has a strong preference for candidates to work in-person at our offices in the Seattle area. On a case-by-case basis, we may consider a remote or hybrid structure with the candidate working from a different US location, but these opportunities will be rare and more focused on the business side of the company (rather than the technical or engineering side). If interested in a SkillBridge internship at Starfish Space, please reach out to our POC by email with the following details at a minimum: timeline for SkillBridge start and military separation, willingness to work inperson from Seattle, roles of interest, and a current resume.

ABOUT THE JOB

Opportunities may include work on the Business Development, Company Operations, or Engineering teams. Our technical teams are mainly composed of mechanical, aerospace, systems, and software engineers. We are potentially able to support internships in roles other than those currently listed on our hiring page, but as a startup we are unable to guarantee a full-time opportunity in that role at the end of the internship.
