ABOUT THE JOB
The Training Assistant will serve as a temporary civilian intern through the DoDSkillBridge program, providing support to the Training Division in managing department-widetraining initiatives. Responsibilities include assisting with the development and coordination oftraining schedules, preparing materials and equipment for hands-on evolutions, maintainingaccurate training records, and supporting instructors during classroom and field exercises. Theassistant will also contribute to the use of training management software and help plan multi-agency training events. This internship provides valuable experience for individuals pursuingcareers in fire service training, emergency services instruction, public safety education, ororganizational development within the emergency response field.The Fire Marshal’s Assistant will serve as a temporary civilian intern through theDoD SkillBridge program, providing support to the Fire Marshal in managing fire code compliance,industrial development review, fire origin and cause investigations, and department-level strategicplanning. The assistant will participate in active inspections, assist in investigations, supportcommunity risk reduction eWorts, and contribute to forecasting for territory growth and budgetplanning. This internship provides essential experience for individuals pursuing careers in fireprevention, code enforcement, public safety administration, or emergency management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
