Join Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Regional Jet (MHIRJ) and their industry partner HQ Aero in their Aircraft Maintenance Planner Apprenticeship Program. The Program will to assist transitioning military members into the FAA flight standards world of Part 145 facility. The Program will provide structured curriculum and hands on training, helping you work toward obtaining an FAA A&P license. MHIRJ is seeking individuals with strong troubleshooting skills and communication skills; someone who is mechanically curious while adhering to safety standards. Also, once you have a license, individuals can continue at MHIRJ as an Aircraft Planner or perhaps move into a Supervisor role. An aircraft maintenance planner is responsible for creating and managing maintenance schedules to ensure aircraft are safe, airworthy, and compliant with regulations. They coordinate with maintenance teams, vendors, and operations to minimize downtime by scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance, managing parts, and overseeing all maintenance records and logs. Key skills include knowledge of aviation regulations and maintenance procedures, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with maintenance planning software.
