Serve With Honor - NJDOC is the largest law enforcement agency in New Jersey, working to improve safety in communities throughout the state. As a NJDOC Correctional Police Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the custody, safety, and care of incarcerated individuals in any NJDOC correctional facilities throughout New Jersey. The Department also boasts a number of specialty law enforcement groups and teams that assist in fostering a safer State.Protect With Pride - As a NJDOC Correctional Police Officer, your goals are simple: To provide public safety and security through the custody and management of individuals incarcerated within the criminal justice system. To ensure the safety and welfare of the staff and incarcerated population.To assist in the rehabilitative efforts for those incarcerated individuals returning to the community.To promote public support for the operations and objectives of the Department of Corrections.
