Freedom Contractors, Inc. offers a 24-week SkillBridge training program designed to prepare transitioning service members for careers in Construction Project Management, Estimating, and Skilled Trades Supervision.Participants receive structured, hands-on training in residential and commercial construction operations including project coordination, scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management, safety compliance, blueprint reading, and quality control.This program bridges military leadership experience into the civilian construction industry and prepares participants for full-time employment opportunities within Freedom Contractors, Inc. and the broader construction market.

ABOUT THE JOB

SkillBridge participants will train alongside senior project managers, superintendents, and skilled trades professionals in active jobsite environments.Training includes:• Construction project lifecycle management• Blueprint and specification interpretation• Project scheduling and coordination• Subcontractor oversight and trade sequencing• Budget tracking and cost control fundamentals• Estimating and take-offs• OSHA safety compliance and jobsite safety practices• Client communication and reporting• Quality control inspections• Permit and inspection processes• Material procurement and logistics coordination• Field leadership and workforce managementParticipants will rotate through field and office operations to gain comprehensive exposure to construction management practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES✨

• Train alongside senior project managers, superintendents, and skilled trades professionals in active jobsite environments.
• Manage construction project lifecycle, interpret blueprints and specifications, and coordinate projects.
• Oversee subcontractors, sequence trades, track budgets, and control costs.
• Ensure OSHA safety compliance and manage jobsite safety practices.
• Conduct client communication and reporting, perform quality control inspections, and manage permit and inspection processes.

QUALIFICATIONS✨

• Eligible for SkillBridge participation through Command approval.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in active construction environments.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office / Google Workspace).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors.
