The Industrial Electrician SkillBridge program provides transitioning service members with structured, hands-on training to prepare for entry-level roles in industrial electrical maintenance and installation. Participants receive instruction in electrical safety, AC/DC theory, motor controls, industrial wiring, and troubleshooting techniques used in manufacturing and industrial environments. The program emphasizes applied technical skills, safety compliance, and professional readiness aligned with state-approved curriculum standards.
Industrial Electricians install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment used in industrial and manufacturing environments. Participants gain hands-on experience working with electrical distribution systems, motors, motor controls, industrial wiring, and basic programmable logic controller (PLC) concepts. Duties include interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints, performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing faults, and following OSHA and NFPA safety standards. This SkillBridge opportunity prepares service members for entry-level industrial electrician and maintenance technician roles in manufacturing, logistics, utilities, and industrial facilities.
